Katherine Dormandy is an assistant professor of philosophy at the Institute for Christian Philosophy, University of Innsbruck, Austria. Her work centers on epistemology and its applications in social settings. Focal topics include epistemic authority, religious and worldview disagreement, the epistemological import of first-person narratives, and interpersonal trust. She aims for her research and teaching to be sensitive to the ways in which implicit and explicit biases affect human reasoning, and to the relevance of social location on the way we think. She also aims to speak to contemporary issues relevant to living a meaningful life.
