Paul Boshears is on the faculty of the Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University. He is co-editor of the media-agnostic publication, continent. He earned his PhD from the Philosophy, Art and Critical Thought program at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. His research is concerned with the nature of human relationships and the objects that mediate them. Boshears specializes in East-West comparative philosophy, emphasizing Chinese philosophy, and applying insights from these traditions to the problems the human community encounters with technologies. His recent scholarship has focused on developing neuroethical guidelines informed by global perspectives.

Boshears is also an active art practitioner with an international profile whose works, with the continent. Editorial collective, have been exhibited across a number of highly-visible contemporary art institutions and biennials in Europe and North America. He has held a variety of leadership and management positions for arts organizations and his arts writing has been featured in local, national, and international publications.
