I am Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Aberdeen (UK). I received my PhD from King’s College London (2006). My research concerns the history and philosophy of biology. I'm particularly interested in causation, mechanistic explanation, and the nature of purportedly informational or representational phenomena. I intend to develop an undergraduate course on contemplative traditions in philosophy.
