Father Nickolas is a Benedictine monk of Saint John's Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota, and Assistant Professor of Theology at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University. He completed his doctorate at the Alphonsian Academy in Rome, focusing his dissertation on the ethical thought of John Henry Newman (particular his approach to conscience) within the realm of virtue ethics. He has taught the introductory theology course, upper division undergraduate courses in moral theology, and fundamental moral theology to graduate students. In addition to his teaching, Nickolas is in residence in one of the student dormitories on campus and provides weekend assistance to local Roman Catholic parishes.
