I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy at Mississippi University for Women. I have teaching interests in continental philosophy, feminist philosophy, the philosophy of disability, the philosophy of education, social and political philosophy, and the history of philosophy. My research has drawn on feminist epistemologies and Julia Kristeva's concepts to understand and seek to address injustices faced by disabled persons. I also have a growing interest in questions about labor and work--like what makes work valuable and how can work be more fairly shared by members of a community-- and have begun research in this direction. I love yoga and running. And, having lived in apartments for the last four years, I really, really miss playing my drum set.
